Grilling Season: Let’s Talk Backyard Setups

Summer is for grilling. That’s just a fact.

And while a good burger can come from just about any grill, the experience of outdoor cooking is a whole lot better when your space is set up right.

Here’s what to think about:

1. The grill itself.

Are you a minimalist who just needs a hot surface and a cold drink, or are you the “full outdoor kitchen” type? There’s no wrong answer. But having a setup that fits your style makes all the difference.

2. Prep and serve space.

Even a small side table goes a long way. Somewhere to chop, plate, or keep condiments close is key to keeping the flow going (and avoiding 50 trips inside).

3. The hangout zone.

Make sure there’s comfy seating nearby—because once the food’s done, people won’t want to leave. Think benches, loungers, or even a bar-height table for casual eats.

4. Keep it cool.

Shade structures, umbrellas, or even a patio fridge help everyone stay refreshed. And let’s be honest, having cold drinks within arm’s reach is kind of the dream.

You don’t need a Pinterest-perfect kitchen out back. You just need a setup that works for you. If you’re figuring out your ideal layout, we’ve got some great examples in the showroom—and we’re happy to help you build your version of the ultimate grill zone.
